Body-Art is a timeless art of appreciating the human canvas as visual art. It is a mean of expression of creative concepts translated on human canvas without incurring neither permanance nor pain or destructing properties unlike tattoos or graffiti art. It’s a mean of breaking the norm in human psychology for ice breaking and creates a conversational piece worthy of notice. Simply, body-painting is not driven by elaborate or a complication unlike contemporary or abstract arts as it is to be enjoyed by individuals.

This alternative art of using the human canvas is indeed spellbound!
I conceptualise how the art is positioned to suit the needs of an individual or achieving corporate objectives.
Somehow, unlike 'conventional' painting, body-paint lo and behold is a quick metamorphosis of an idea and translates onto a human canvas and voila, the creation is realised in matter of hours.. while most form of painting takes days, weeks, months and even years.
In short, gratification of beauty to be appreciated and immortalised on camera that will send both the audience and media into a frenzy.
It is simply NOT a quick fix though.
It takes talent, skill and dexterity to realise the imagery.
It is a team effort. Be it from the artist or the model. As much the artist is occupied on his creative juice, credit must go to the model for the patience, concentration, dedication and most of the time... standing for hours for the work to be realised.
Body-painting is not a mere interpretation of creative idea. The model is the conduit where he morphs and deliver the creativity realised by the artist. Only talent with body & movement will able to convey not a mere stoic model.
My job has taken me places and my artworks have graced for MSN, Microsoft, Canon, Dell, Swatch, Tag Heuer, Hewlett Packard, Franck Muller, Mitutoyo, Fujitsu, Swarovski, Bacardi, OCBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Polaroid, Heineken, Motorola, Levi's, Calvin Klein, Singtel, Mediacorp and .... the lists.....
With the inception of Runway Concepts where i decided to move on from Out Of The Closet Productions, i have infused fashion management using body-painting as a fashion platform, a Wearable Art to be the new hype in fashion fronts.
As other events will end with a lingering memory, body-painting is captured and immortalised on photos that grace on all social network fronts (thanks to whoever created internet!) and be wowed by everyone.
Simply, it captures the soul and the talk of the town.
